Economics, Finance, Control and Accounting

Economics, Finance, Control and Accounting
The department of Economics, Finance, Control and Accounting is dedicated to financial analysis and diagnosis – of management of current assets and short-term financing, the study of investments and the establishment of long-term financial policies (debt, dividends and self-financing, etc.) – without neglecting the elements that have added new dimensions to financial management.

In terms of Control and Accounting, the short-term programmes develop the abilities of the participants to obtain, analyse and use a company’s quantifiable data, from a Management perspective. The study of Accounting and Finance entails a review of the fundamental concepts as well as Management Accounting, by way of a brief overview of cost accounting, economic analysis and decisions.

This approach also allows for the examination of issues concerning the evaluation of the performance of the company, its departments and its leaders, and the connection between these evaluations and the planning process, the implementation of strategy and the motivation of personnel.

Commercial Strategy and Marketing

Commercial Strategy and Marketing
The department of Commercial Strategy and Marketing aims to help develop an understanding of clients or potential clients and competition, which can be used to determine a strategy, and to facilitate the establishment of commercial policies that are as innovative as possible.

In this department, marketing-mix variables are studied with the objective of developing commercial plans that create a differentiated offering versus that of the competition, which means providing clients with more value in satisfying their needs.

Operations and Innovation

Operations and Innovation

The department of Operations and Innovation is dedicated to the study of three major types of issues:

  • Those related to the development of products – goods or services – and processes, that is, technological innovation, configuration and management of processes
  • Decisions that shape the transformation process, involving aspects such as logistics,  production flow, quality, productivity and organisation of human resources
  • And finally, decisions that shape the establishment of the service chain, from the client’s point of view, considering the connection between the double cycle of knowledge generation and competiveness in an integrated way.
