Principal Teaching Fellow
Psychiatric doctor. Graduate Assistant in Psychiatry at the Centro Hospitalar Psiquiátrico de Lisboa, he maintained clinical duties at this hospital until 2014.
He has a Master’s degree in Sleep Sciences and a PhD in Psychiatry and Mental Health from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon.
He was a guest professor at the Institute of Health Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University, having been the coordinator of the Postgraduate Course in Mental Health (2011-2017) and Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (2011-2022).
He is currently a Senior Teaching Fellow at AESE — Business school, in the area of human development and a psychiatrist at the CUF Saúde group.
Author of several scientific articles and books, including the Manual of Clinical Psychiatry, the Dictionary of Psychopathology and Ethics.
