No século XXI, uma multiplicidade de empresas tradicionais ou mais recentes, desenvolveram iniciativas relevantes que tornaram o Vinho português um produto de elevada qualidade avaliado objetivamente por padrões internacionais.
Algumas destas empresas contam com os seus próprios departamentos de Investigação & Desenvolvimento Experimental com laboratórios bem equipados e outras associam-se entre si ou contam com a colaboração de laboratórios do Estado. Por outro lado, as Universidades, com os seus núcleos de investigação e as suas licenciaturas, têm dado um importante contributo ao desenvolvimento da vitivinicultura.
A contribuição de abertura caberá ao INESC-TEC*, que irá apresentar alguns dos seus projetos na área agrícola, em operação ou em desenvolvimento. A importância da I&D no ecossistema vitivinícola será abordada no debate, com o testemunho dos laboratórios do Estado, de uma associação privada e de várias empresas.
No encerramento dos trabalhos, o Vice-Reitor da UTAD - Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto-Douro sublinhará o importante papel desempenhado pelas universidades e outras instituições do Ensino Superior público e privado. Por fim, será feita a apresentação da PORVID, que agrega entidades públicas e privadas portuguesas que se juntaram para promover a conservação das castas de videira presentes naturalmente no seu território. O encontro termina com a visita ao Pólo Experimental Central para a Conservação da Variabilidade das Videiras Autóctones.

O Plano Nacional Energia e Clima (PNEC) estabelece para 2030 a meta de 47% de incorporação de fontes renováveis no consumo final de energia no nosso país. Este objectivo implica duplicar a capacidade instalada em tecnologias renováveis para a produção de electricidade. Nesse sentido, o governo aprovou o lançamento de um conjunto de leilões de potência solar fotovoltaica, num total de 6 a 7GW até 2027, o primeiro dos quais (1350MW) se encontra em fase de adjudicação. O caso "Walmart vs Amazon" remonta a 2018, quando a Walmart teve de enfrentar decisões críticas sobre seu futuro. O comércio eletrónico estava em expansão e o líder do setor, a Amazon.com, tinha conquistado a “coroa” de longa data da Walmart como o “distribuidor mais valioso do mundo”.

A Amazon conseguiu aumentar a sua receita dez vezes na última década, comparado a um crescimento de 20% nas vendas globais da Walmart. Com a aquisição da Whole Foods, a Amazon fez uma entrada agressiva no mundo off-line, desafiando diretamente a Walmart no seu maior negócio.

A pergunta para o CEO do Walmart, Doug McMillan, e Marc Lore, fundador da Jet.com e chefe do Walmart.com, era como a empresa deveria responder ao seu concorrente mais agressivo.
