Angel Proaño is a faculty member in the Strategic Management Department, where he teaches General Management and Strategy in IESE’s Executive Education programmes. He holds an MBA from IE Business School, a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Navarra, and completed his executive education at IESE.
He has extensive C-level executive experience in the financial services, construction and airport retail sectors, in the areas of strategy and corporate development. Having started his professional career at PwC, he has worked with several multinational and national companies, such as Aldeasa (Dufry) and Grupo San José, among others. He has been involved in corporate transformation processes, the design and execution of strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise risk management.
Angel Proaño has served on the boards of several companies operating in different sectors (financial services, real estate, technology services and insurance brokerage).
He is a visiting professor on the PADE – Advanced Management Programme at AESE Business School in Portugal, and on the PADEM at ISEM Fashion Business School, among others.
He currently combines teaching on Executive Education programmes with his work as a senior adviser to CEOs, executive committees and boards of directors, on strategy execution and corporate governance, nationally and internationally.
