On the radio, amidst the news, traffic reports, and music, he hears an advertisement for NOS Alive, which was set to take place between July 6 and 8 at the Passeio Mar\u00edtimo de Alg\u00e9s in Lisbon.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, this was no ordinary advertisement aimed at selling festival tickets; it was a simple thank you to all the spectators who had, for the first time in Portugal, sold out a festival&#8217;s total capacity before it even opened.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;NOS Alive 2017: SOLD OUT!<br\/>Thank you to everyone who helped make this one of the greatest festivals ever.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NOS Alive, which held its first edition in 2007, quickly became one of the most coveted events on the European festival calendar, attracting major names in music as well as an unrivaled number of foreign spectators within the context of Portuguese festivals.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Approaching its 11th edition, NOS Alive had achieved a feat as historic as it was unprecedented by selling out all tickets two months before the first chord was struck at the Passeio Mar\u00edtimo de Alg\u00e9s. But this was not the result of a few weeks or months of work: although the 2017 edition had not yet begun, the 2018 edition was already being planned. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the face of this success, \u00c1lvaro Cov\u00f5es could not help but start thinking about the next step: how to scale the successful formula of NOS Alive without losing its differentiating elements as an urban festival, offering a unique experience centered on the best lineup?
