He earned an MBA from Cat\u00f3lica and Nova Business Schools (2016), completed the PADIS \u2013 Senior Management Program for Healthcare Institutions at AESE Business School (2019), and the \u201cValue Measurement of Healthcare\u201d Program at Harvard Business School (2019). <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He was an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon between 1999 and 2003, having completed his Pedagogical Aptitude and Scientific Capacity Exams in 2001.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>He held positions in multinational pharmaceutical companies in the areas of medical affairs and marketing between 2005 and 2019, managing several teams of middle managers. In these roles, he developed knowledge and experience in the following areas: advisory board management, clinical research, design thinking, project management, CRM, market research, performance management and incentive plans, marketing planning, and digital marketing. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>His areas of academic focus are value-based healthcare and humanization.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/>Since 2019, he has been an independent consultant in the field of healthcare management, collaborating with various public and private institutions in this sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With a Degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon (1999), he holds a PhD in Medicine from King&#8217;s College London (2006).
