“Give back” and “do good” is part of his life purpose. At the age of 24, Ana Margarida Ximenes, co-founded ATREVIA – at the time Inforpress. President of the company in Portugal, he is also a Member of the Board of the International Group. <\/p>\n\n
I studied Social Communication. I asked the Rector for special permission to attend two specializations that excited me so much: journalism and audiovisual production and directing. <\/p>\n\n
I am Co-Founder of ATREVIA in Portugal, a communication and corporate positioning consultancy with offices in Spain, Portugal, Brussels and Latin America. I started this project from scratch, at the age of 24, with a lot of commitment and dedication. My previous experience in the journalistic, advertising and public relations world, unforgettable and intense, was very decisive. ATREVIA proved to be the Best Place to work <\/em>in reconciling the experiences acquired previously and with an international area to discover, which had always fascinated me. <\/p>\n\n In 2009, I participated in an ISCTE Business School contest to find “The Most Motivating Person in Portugal” and I was in 2nd place in the Top Management<\/em> category.<\/p>\n\n From 2009 to 2015 I was Vice-President of PROI (Public Relations Organization International<\/em>), the largest network of communication and public relations agencies in the world that allowed me to have an in-depth knowledge of the reality of communication in the 5 continents of the world.<\/p>\n\n In 2019 I was elected EMENA Vice-Chair of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators<\/em>), the largest Association of Communication Professionals in the world. And in 2020 I assumed the Presidency of IABC in the EMENA region, a position I currently hold. <\/p>\n\n Since I was a child and throughout my career there is a basic principle, transmitted by my mother, which always accompanies me: that of never giving up on my dreams and an inexplicable hope. My dreams have always been bigger than all my fears: “think big, start small”.<\/em> That’s why I embrace challenges with joy and always try to see them flourish. At ATREVIA, thanks to the work of the wonderful team of the different offices, we have created very strong bonds of 100% commitment and we have an incredible portfolio of clients. I have to be up to the challenges and attending AESE’s Business Management Program (PDE) allowed me to consolidate knowledge and meet truly decisive people in my personal and professional life. <\/p>\n\n Humility, respect, trust, and perseverance are crucial. Work, work, work! Give, without expecting to receive! Knowing how to wait and be grateful are always important learnings that help us resist in moments when we weaken. The business world is uncertain and in the face of unexpected situations, such as the one we are currently experiencing, it is essential to feel this “invisible force”. It is necessary to achieve a spirit of unity, constantly adapt to embrace change and transformation, responding with agility to challenges, which are immense! <\/p>\n\n It is being at peace with myself, and with others, and thanking with a smile what I achieve every day: “be grateful”.<\/em> It is important to feel this serenity and a “safe haven” in the midst of the storm.<\/p>\n\n There are many and a mix of values transmitted by my parents and family, which have been passed down from generation to generation, and those lived intensely since always in the ATREVIA team: <\/strong>integrity, honesty and respect; commitment and commitment; collaboration and sharing; enthusiasm, ambition and knowledge; diversity and inclusion. And that inner peace and joy! <\/p>\n\n I put all my effort into what I do, how, why and with whom I do it. I don’t usually “have time” to look back. Maybe one day… But when that day comes, I would like to have that look with a sense of pride and not regret about something. <\/p>\n\n Never has communication, internal and external, played such an important role in the world as it does today. There is so much to do, to write, to say… Communication has “a magical power” that truly influences business outcomes and can align, help, and save many organizations. <\/p>\n\n I would definitely like to continue working in this area, which I am passionate about, and to be able to “give back” to the world everything it has done for me. “Give back<\/em>” and “do good<\/em>” is part of my life purpose. “We help the world to understand itself better” is ATREVIA’s mission.
