He holds a Master of Business Administration (B.B.A.), Business Administration and Management, General Master of Business Administration (B.B.A.), and Business Administration and Management (1983 – 1988) from the University of Groningen. He completed the Acquisition and Integration program (2008 – 2008) at INSEAD, the Finance for Senior Executives program (2010 – 2010) at Harvard Business School, and obtained the IBGC Board of Directors Certificate (2015 – 2015) from the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC).
He remained at Philips for 31 years, where he held the position of CEO Philips Domestic Appliances, Executive Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee, from 2020 to 2021, in Amsterdam, North Holland and the Netherlands. He was Chief Executive Officer at Versuni from 2021 to 2024, in the same countries.
