He is partner of Inicia Corporate (M&A and Corporate Finance).
Prof. Stein is a consultant to owners and management committees of companies. Member of The International Academy of Management and the International Advisory Board MCC (Budapest) and is a collaborator with People and Strategy Journal, Corporate Ownership & Control, Harvard Deusto Business Review, European Business Review and Expansión.
Prof. Stein is author of the books Managing People and Organizations: Peter Drucker’s Legacy and Now What? Leadership and Taking Charge and is co-author of Keys to Leadership Success. He is now working on the book Ambidextrous Negotiator with Kandarp Mehta. In German, he has published Kardinaltugenden effektiver Führung (Cardinal Virtues of Effective Guidance), edited by Peter Drucker and Peter Pascheck.
His Spanish books include: “CEO: carrera y sucesión. Escalando la cima”, “El arte de gobernar según Peter Drucker” (3rd edition), “La aventura del liderazgo” (3rd edition), “Dirigir en tiempos de incertidumbre”, “Éxito y Fracaso en la Nueva Economía”, “Cambiar o no cambiar: esa es la gestión” (3rd edition), “Dirigir Personas: La Madurez del Talento” (4th edition), “¿Y ahora qué? Liderazgo y aterrizaje en un nuevo puesto” and “Claves de la Negociación Colectiva, de la teoría a la realidad”.
He is the author of more than 60 business cases and numerous technical notes. His current research focuses on undesirable turnover in top management, power and taking-charge processes, and negotiation as a management tool.
He has created the first MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) in the platform Coursera in Spanish on leading people, with more than 35,000 followers.

He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior and an Executive MBA AESE/IESE. Attended several training courses in Marketing, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, e-commerce, Leadership and Innovation in several business schools.
He is General Director at Correos Express Portugal. He began his professional activity in management consulting at Accenture. From 1998 to 2003, he managed and participated in projects involving various activity sectors, such as Consumer Goods, food and non-food, Services and Industry, namely metalworking, engineering, electrical and electronic products, environment, chemicals, among others. The main areas of expertise were strategy and operations, supply chain management, business transformation and enterprise performance management. 
In 2003 he joined CTT - Correios de Portugal, where he was Procurement and Logistics Director. In 2008 he took over as executive board member at Mailtec Comunicação (document production) and Mailtec Consultoria (information technologies).
In 2012 he was appointed executive board member/ COO at CTT Expresso and Tourline Express in Spain, both in transportation and logistics sector. From 2015 to 2019, he joined the Rangel group as Country Manager of the national express transport business unit. Nowadays he is CEO da Sousacamp.
He is Teaching Fellow at AESE on Operations and Innovation, since 2019. Adrián Caldart is B.Sc. in Accounting and B.Sc. in Business Administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, M.Sc. in Management and Economics from ESEADE (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Ph.D. in Management from IESE Business School.
Adrián is the Director of the Strategic Management Area, President of the Academic Council and Professor of Strategic Management at AESE Business School (Lisbon and Porto, Portugal). He is Senior Lecturer of Strategic Management and researcher on the internationalization of the food sector at IESE Business School (Barcelona, Madrid, São Paulo, New York, Munich). Before joining AESE and IESE, Adrián was an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Warwick Business School (Coventry, United Kingdom) from 2004 through 2009. He has also been Visiting Professor at CEIBS (Accra, Ghana), PAD (Lima, Perú), IAE (Pilar, Argentina), LBS (Lagos, Nigeria), IEEM (Montevideo, Uruguay), ASM (Luanda, Angola) and ESCI-UPF (Barcelona, Spain), among others.  He has worked as a consultant in Strategic Management and Organization in the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal and Argentina.
Before joining Academia, Adrián was an executive in Corporate Finance (Energy Derivatives Trading and Strategy, Capital Markets, Money Markets) and Corporate Planning (Strategic Planning, Management Control and M&As) at Grupo Perez Companc in Argentina between 1993 and 1999 and at Grupo Techint (1992).

Publications Adrián co-authored the book "The Dynamics of Strategy. Mastering Landscapes of the Firm" (2009, Oxford University Press). His areas of professional interest include Corporate-Level Strategy, International Strategy, and the Agenda of the CEO. He published academic and managerial articles on these topics in The Academy of Management Proceedings, European Management Journal, European Management Review, Management Research, Emergence: Complexity and Organization, Harvard Deusto Business Review, Harvard Business Review Latin America and IESE Insight. He also contributed to several books and wrote over 20 teaching case studies in Competitive Strategy, Corporate-level Strategy, International Strategy, Strategic Alliances and Post-merger integration.

He subsequently held various roles in companies in the telecommunications sector and in the Subsea industry, having been Senior Manager at Aker Solutions UK, from 2013 to 2018.
He is currently Professor of Management at Escola Naval and Senior Teaching Fellow at AESE.


His interests He is passionate about systems thinking and decision making, history and technology, multiculturalism, governance and business policy. He likes sailing on his leisure time.

He holds a PhD in History of Culture and Mentalities in the contemporary period, from ISCTE, with a thesis on Cinema in Portugal. He has a degree in History from the University of Porto and a master's from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
He is a professor at AESE in Communication field. He teaches at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, in the “Sound and Image” course and also gives training at the Val do Rio Professional School. At ISCTE, he supervises “History and Image” subject in one of the masters.
He has three novels published to date and several articles in the Portuguese press.
He writes film reviews for the AESE Courier. Some of these texts were published in his books "See, learn and win - 75 films", then "80 new films to win in life" and recently in "Cinema inspires life - 101 films"
