He graduated in Law bu Universidade de Lisboa, with post-graduate courses in Corporate Law and Management, by Nova SBE Executive Education, Enterprise Data Science and Analytics, by Nova IMS, and Executive MBA AESE/IESE.
He is a professor of finance at AESE, a PhD student of Sciences and Technologies of Information, at ISCTE, an investigator at INESC-ID, and a consultant.
He was a member of the board (CFO) and a partner at Insight Venture – Sociedade de Capital de Risco, SA, a senior consultant at One to One Corporate Finance and CEO at Sixt Rent-a-Car Portugal, having also served as member of the board (CFO) of Navalrocha – Sociedade de Construção e Reparação Navais, SA until 2012. He previously held the positions of deputy functions of the Minister of National Defense, after which he held the positions of director of the Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of National Defense and vice-president of the Portuguese Institute of Support to Development (IPAD).
His current research is linked to the areas of Decision Theory and Behavioral Finance and focuses on the economic and financial consequences of aversion to debt and the propensity for debt.

His areas of expertise include marketing strategy and refocusing family businesses. He has consulted widely with a broad range of businesses, including banks, insurance companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and multinational companies.
Prof. Font has consulted and taught in many countries around the world, including Portugal, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Spain. He serves as an advisor to a number of Spanish companies, as well as to multinationals with operations in Spain. He also leads a number of educational and health-related foundations, on a voluntary basis.
Prof. Font has published three books on the subject of family businesses, and his doctoral thesis focused on retail cooperatives. He has authored numerous IESE cases which focus on his main research areas.

Prof. Gomez has published numerous articles, cases and technical notes, as well as the following books: Labor Relations in Europe, Toward a European Board of Directors, People and Work in Businesses of the 21st Century, Value creaction and sport management and La retribución y la carrera profesional: teoría y práctica.
Prof. Gomez has served as a consultant to the personnel and human resource departments of various national and international corporations.

He likes to say that he embarked on an academic career because he could not make it in the world of baking and pastry making, even though he was born into a family with more than 175 years of history doing just that.
Prof. Andreu holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and PhD in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
