He is co-author of the book Contabilidade Descodeda (Almedina, 2020-2023) and author of the simulation games Golden Valley (recording, reporting and financial analysis) and Sierra Shoes (economic analysis of decisions).
He has been a Professor at AESE since 2003, in the areas of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Management Control Systems. He teaches in several programs for executives, seminars and specific programs for companies, in Lisbon, Porto, and Naples.
He is Director of the Executive MBA AESE and coordinator of the academic area of Accounting and Management Control.
He is a consultant in the areas of business development, financial reporting, business configurations, governance and family wealth management.

Associate Dean at AESE, he is in charge of the Finance department, and worked to develop the department’s PADE, PDE and MBA programmes. He is the coordinator for AESE’s activities in the country’s northern region and Director of PADE Porto. He currently resides in Porto.
He was a Junior Teaching Assistant at FEUP and a Teaching Assistant at the Universidade do Minho. He left academia in 1989, focusing on consultancy (PRIME) for several years, work that he has continued while teaching at AESE (since 1997) and serving as a member of the Management team at the school (since 2003). He was a Non-Executive Director at CGD and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of 3 Societies of Goldenwealth. He attended Corporate Finance Programmes in Spain (IESE) and the United States (Kellogg).
He is the author of various cases and technical notes.

She has a degree in Accounting and Administration, at the Escola Militar IPE and in Business Management at ISOCT. She held the 33rd PADE in AESE, Ethics and Corporate Responsibility by UC, Executive and Team Coaching, both by EEC and, more recently, Kellogg | Catholic Advanced Management Program.
It began in 1981 in a Construction Company and until 1988, held the position of Financial Director in two other companies, in a Maritime Transport Company and in an International Textile Company.
In 1988, she began the implantation in Portugal of the INDITEX Group, where she held until June 30, 2017, the position of General Director of its companies in Portugal. She left the company with 350 stores, more than 6000 employees and a turnover of more than 900 million Euros. In accumulation of functions, she have several projects in the international area.
Today she is Executive Coach, Consultant, Professor and Member of the General Council at AESE Business School.
On a personal level she considers herself attentive and involved with issues of an ecological and social nature. She has always practiced different sports, but it was in Yoga that she found herself. She likes music, theater and opera, but above all loves to travel and immerse herself in other cultures.

He attended the Harvard Business School Certificate of Management Excellence Program (Driving Digital Strategy, Leading Product Innovation, Strategy-Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage and High Potential Leadership Program) (2019).
He was Auditor at EY in Portugal and Mozambique, Credit Analyst at RCI Bank, Controller, Network Development Manager and Fleet and Used Car Manager at Paugeot Portugal Automóveis, Sales Director at Banque PSA Finance, COO at ALD Automotive and Co-CEO at Société Générale Consumer Finance. He was Founder and Sales Director of Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal, he is Founder and was President of the General Assembly of Hope Care, a company created under the NAVES chair project of the AESE MBA. Graduated and PhD in Naval Engineering from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, he has an MBA from IESE.
The Professor was Director of production in the naval sector (5 years), Director of technical projects (5 years), Director of programs and international working groups (6 years) and Deputy Director-General at a business school (1.5 years).
His professional experience includes 7 years in General Management consultancy at The Mac Group, Global Business & Finance and other international consultants in Madrid. He is currently a partner in a Spanish consulting group in Madrid and an independent director.
As a teacher he was an Adjunct Professor at E.T.S. Ingenieros Navales at the U. Politécnica de Madrid, Faculty member of the Madrid Business School, Collaborating Professor at the Centro de Estudios Superiores de la Defensa Nacional (CESEDEN) and Collaborator at the Instituto Internacional San Telmo, Seville, since 1992.
He has been a Collaborating Professor at Escuela de Guerra Naval and at the Centro de Estudios Superiores de Intendencia de la Armada since 1993. He is a Collaborating Professor at the Institución Empresarial Europea, Madrid, a member of the faculty of AESE - School of Management and Business, in Lisbon, and at IESE, in Madrid.
Prof. Agustín Avilés won the UPM Extraordinary Prize (1985), two crosses of Naval Merit (1988 and 2000) and an Honorable Mention from the Directorate of Enseñanza Naval - Ministry of Defense (2005).
