Eduarda Luna Pais was born in São Miguel, Azores.
She pursued her university studies in the United States, where she earned a degree in Medical Technology and completed an MBA at Northeastern University in Boston. She worked with a small consulting firm until joining the Johnson & Johnson Group in 1988.
After some time in the United States, she joined the Marketing Department in Portugal for two years. She served as Trade Marketing Manager until, in 1992, the opportunity arose to create the Pharmacy Division of Janssen Farmacêutica, which two years later merged with the equivalent division of Cilag following the merger of the companies. After completing the project, she returned in 1996 to the Consumer area to restructure the Sales Department, where she led the transition from a geographically based structure to Key Account Management.
After completing this assignment, she decided to move into an entirely new area, becoming a Consultant at Egon Zehnder International in 1999, a leading human resources consulting firm; for the past three and a half years, she was responsible for the office in Portugal.
In 2009, she decided to enter the third phase of her career as an entrepreneur and founded ELPing Organizational Fitness, with the aim of leveraging her experience as a manager and consultant, and thereby supporting organisations in the development of senior leaders and managers, as well as in the design and optimisation of structures and processes.
