He holds a degree in Business Organization and Management from ISCTE and a diploma in Accounting and Administration from ISCAL. He has a specialization in Taxation. He completed the PADE – Senior Management Program at AESE.
He studied Education and Family Sciences at the University of Navarra. He is registered with the Portuguese Association of Economists and also with the Portuguese Association of Certified Accountants.
He is an accredited trainer by the Institute of Professional Training (Ministry of Labour and Social Solidarity) and certified by the António Sérgio Institute for the Cooperative Sector, now CASES. He is a speaker, lecturer, and trainer on topics related to education and family sciences. He has been Director of the GAIN-Agroindustrial Management Program and Professor at AESE since 2005.
His experience stems from a long career in managing private and public companies, of which the following stand out:
- 15 years as Financial Director and General Manager in the Pharmaceutical Industry
- 12 years as General Manager and Administrative and Financial Director at the 4 FOMENTO Schools.
- 5 years as Administrative and Financial Director of the Conagra Bioter Group – SAPROPOR and BIOTERSA.
- 6 years as Financial Director of Hospital de Santa Maria and Hospital Pulido Valente, later Centro Hospitalar Lisboa Norte, EPE
