Paulo Miguel Martins was born in Luanda, Angola.
He holds a PhD in History of Culture and Mentalities in the contemporary period from ISCTE, with a thesis on Cinema in Portugal. He graduated in History from the University of Porto and holds a master’s degree from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
He is a Professor of Communication at AESE. He teaches the “Sound and Image” course at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and also provides training at the Val do Rio Vocational School. At ISCTE, he supervises the “History and Image” subject in one of the master’s programs.
He has published three novels to date and various articles in the Portuguese press.
He writes film reviews for the Correio da AESE. Some of these texts were published in his books “Ver, aprender e vencer – 75 filmes”, followed by “80 novos filmes para vencer na vida”, and recently in “O cinema inspira a vida – 101 filmes”.
