He holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Beira Interior and an AESE/IESE Executive MBA.
He has attended various training programmes in the areas of Marketing, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, e-commerce, Leadership and Innovation, at several business schools.
He is currently Managing Director of Correos Express Portugal. He began his professional career in management consulting at Accenture. From 1998 to 2003, he managed and participated in projects across various sectors, notably Consumer Goods (food and non-food), Services and Industry, namely metalworking, engineering, electrical and electronic products, environment, chemical products, among others. His main areas of activity were strategy and operations, supply chain management, business transformation and enterprise performance management.
In 2003, he joined CTT – Correios de Portugal, where he served as Director of Procurement and Logistics. In 2008, he took on the role of executive director at Mailtec Comunicação (document production) and Mailtec Consultoria (information technologies).
In 2012, he was appointed executive director/COO at CTT Expresso and Tourline Express in Spain, both in the express transport and logistics sector. In 2015, he joined the Rangel Group as Country Manager of the national express transport business unit, where he remained until 2019. He was CEO of Sousacamp from 2020 to 2023.
He has been an AESE Teaching Fellow in the area of Operations and Innovation since 2019.
