He is Professor of Accounting and Management Control and Director of the AESE Executive MBA.
He holds a degree in Economics from NOVA University Lisbon, an Executive MBA from AESE, and a doctorate in Management (DBA) from the University of Manchester. He completed the Advanced Competitive Analysis Program at the University of Michigan (USA) and the Advanced Digital Media Strategies and Entrepreneurship Program at IESE in New York.
He has 25 published cases in the areas of financial accounting, management accounting, and personal financial management. He is co-author of the book Accounting Decoded (Almedina, 2020–2023) and author of the simulation games Golden Valley (recording, reporting and financial analysis) and Sierra Shoes (economic analysis of decisions).
He has been a Professor at AESE since 2003, in the areas of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting and Management Control Systems. He teaches on various executive programmes, seminars and company-specific programmes in Lisbon, Porto and Naples.
He is a consultant in the areas of business development, financial reporting, corporate structures, governance and family wealth management.
He is a founding member and Director of the Portugal–India Friendship Association, President of the Audit Committee of the World Youth Day Foundation, President of the Audit Committee of AESE, Secretary of the Board of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Aikido Federation, and President of the Verão Diferente Association.
