What now?
I’m coming to the end of PGL and the question we’ve been asking each other, in a joking tone, is what now?
I’m going to start by introducing myself, my name is Salvador Corrêa de Oliveira, I’m 38 years old, I’m finishing the 29th PGL and I’m just a few days away from having a lot of time…
Starting at the beginning, after several months thinking about going back to school, I started looking for where. The preference immediately fell on AESE and PGL: I would say it was love at first sight. It had everything I liked: the duration of time, friends and family having studied there and with the best of references. The method of the case, I thought, is here, is perfect! I spoke with my wife Rita, my Saint Rita, who gave me all the strength!
After these months, I have no doubt that it was the best decision I made. Expectations were largely exceeded, the structure of the course, the cases, the teachers, the environment, the care and the way we were treated, I will remember with affection. It will certainly be an experience that I will highly recommend.
But then, what now?
Now, now I’m going to have a lot more time and at the same time an emptiness. Much more time because, between the days of classes and the study time, which will now be free, I am convinced that the week will have twice as many days, but what about the emptiness? Well, this is where “the nut twists its tail…”
Although PGL does not have a long duration, about 4 months, it is enough time to create relationships, friendships, even quite strong. I’m sure we all feel the same… I already miss the jokes between the groups. Of course group 3 was the best!
I also miss those hottest topics, usually those of Human Behavior. I learned a lot: I learned that we should not think that there is only one way, there is always a C and D part, when we think it is evident and that there are no other alternatives. We have to look at the human part, the answer is almost always there!
I would like to write a word here to each of my colleagues, but I think that would make this text too long and the probability that they would not read it would be huge. So, I send you a huge hug and a kiss to the ladies. They made this program and these months special. Thank you all very much!
A special word to Dr. Lúcia Vasco, undoubtedly the soul of the course, with the balance between demand, organization, availability and at the same time an enormous kindness in gestures and as she accompanied us during these months, a huge THANK YOU!
WHAT NOW? Now I’m going to continue my path, I’m going stronger, better, but, above all, a better person!
