Frequentou o PADE na AESE, em 2007, a par de outros programas de pós-graduação e educação executiva na Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa, Standford Business School (USA), University of Cambridge (UK), Stern NYU (USA), Kellog School of Management (USA) e MIT Sloan (USA). É director do programa “Advanced Management in Energy” (AMEG), uma iniciativa da AESE em parceria com a Associação Portuguesa da Energia. Desde janeiro 2019 é Presidente do Conselho Consultivo da Unidade de Reservas Petrolíferas da Entidade Nacional para o Sector Energético (ENSE). Iniciou a carreira como Oficial Engenheiro no Exército, em 1982, após a conclusão do curso da Academia Militar. Em 1992, ingressou nos quadros da Mobil Oil onde dirigiu os Departamentos de Compras e de Engenharia em Portugal e em Espanha. Mais tarde, já na BP plc, assumiu responsabilidades comerciais na área dos Combustíveis. Entre 2000 e 2005 foi director de Operações da BP Espanha, com base em Madrid. Assumiu posteriormente funções internacionais na área da Segurança e Ambiente para toda a região da Europa, bem como a direcção do Departamento de Logística de Combustíveis para a península ibérica. Tem também uma pós-graduação na área da qualidade em lean 6 sigma (faixa preta).
Desenvolveu a sua carreira em Indústria Farmacêutica, e ainda em Distribuição Farmacêutica como Diretora Executiva de Indústria na Alliance-Healthcare. Actualmente, é Business Development Director, na Bene Farmacêutica.
Foi sócia fundadora da 3D spot, empresa de impressão 3D. Está a desenvolver a sua própria exploração Agrícola, no Cartaxo, desde 2022.
Desde 2014, é Teacher Fellow na área de Operações, Tecnologia e Inovação na AESE, e desde 2017 é Professora convidada no Mestrado em Regulação e Avaliação de Medicamentos e Produtos de Saúde, da Faculdade de Farmácia da UL, na cadeira de Organização Industrial de Patentes.
É casada e mãe de dois filhos.

Licenciou-se em Gestão de Empresas em Lisboa no ISEG, com uma passagem pela Universidade de Westminster, em Londres. Fez um GMP – General Management Program na AESE e é Doutorado pela Adam Smith Business School, da Universidade de Glasgow, com uma tese alusiva ao tema Organizacional Commitment. A maior parte da sua experiência profissional foi desenvolvida em consultoria de gestão, junto de grandes organizações dos mais diversos setores tais como a indústria automóvel, a indústria cerâmica e os transportes, os seguros, entre outros. Trabalhou sobretudo nas áreas de Desenvolvimento Organizacional, Direção de Pessoas e Desenvolvimento Estratégico. Além de Portugal, desempenhou funções em Espanha, México e Brasil. Colaborou no IESE, na operacionalização do estudo de investigação "Direccion por Misiones" (que envolveu mais de 100 empresas e que resultou em diversas publicações relacionadas com a área académica de Fator Humano) e do estudo de investigação "MO3 - Market Orientation and Open Organizations". Na AESE, é Senior Teaching Fellow da área académica “Fator Humano nas Organizações” e Executive Coach. Miguel, Açores. Frequentou os estudos universitários nos Estados Unidos, onde se licenciou em Medical Technology e tirou um MBA na Northeastern University, em Boston. Trabalhou com uma pequena empresa de Consultoria até integrar o Grupo Johnson & Johnson, em 1988. Após algum tempo nos EUA, veio fazer parte do Departamento de Marketing em Portugal durante dois anos. Desempenhou funções como Trade Marketing Manager até, em 1992, surgir a oportunidade de criar a Divisão de Farmácia da Janssen Farmacêutica, que passados dois anos, fundiu com a divisão equivalente da Cilag, na sequência da fusão das empresas. Terminado o projecto, regressou, em 1996, à área de Consumo para reestruturar o Departamento de Vendas, onde liderou a transição de uma lógica de estrutura geográfica para Key Account Management. Após conclusão da missão, decidiu integrar uma área totalmente nova, tornando-se, em 1999, Consultora na Egon Zehnder International, firma líder em consultoria de Recursos Humanos; nos últimos três anos e meio foi responsável pelo escritório em Portugal. Em 2009, decidiu entrar na terceira fase da sua carreira como Empreendedora e fundou a ELPing Organizational Fitness com o intuito de capitalizar a sua experiência enquanto Gestora e Consultora, e poder assim ajudar as organizações no desenvolvimento de Líderes e Gestores Séniores, bem como no desenho e optimização de estruturas e processos. Frequentou, entre outros, o 6º PADE da AESE e o CEO’S FORUM do IESE . Tem exercido a sua atividade profissional como economista em várias entidades públicas e privadas, tendo sido Adjunto do Ministro das Finanças em 1981 e 1982. Com uma longa experiência na área dos transportes, foi Diretor-Geral de Transportes Terrestres (1991-1995), tendo sido eleito Presidente do Comité de Transportes Interiores da Comissão Económica para a Europa, das Nações Unidas, em 1994. Foi, também, administrador da CP, da FERTAGUS e Presidente do Conselho de Administração da CARRIS (desde 2003 a 2013) e do Metro de Lisboa. Foi membro da Direção da UITP - União Internacional do Transporte Público e , atualmente, é Quadro do Grupo Barraqueiro, administrador da Via Porto (empresa gestora do Metro do Porto). Em 2010, recebeu, em Paris, o Prémio Carreira, como reconhecimento do seu contributo para o desenvolvimento do transporte público. Silva Rodrigues manteve sempre uma atividade docente, tendo sido Assistente Convidado do ISEG (1977-1991). Desde 1995, é Professor Convidado do ISG, onde tem lecionado diversas disciplinas da Licenciatura e do Mestrado em Gestão. É Professor da AESE.
