He has been a Professor at AESE since 2011 in the areas of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Planning and Management Control Systems. He teaches on various executive programmes, seminars and company-specific programmes in Lisbon and Porto. He also has several years of training experience in the capital markets area.
He is a managing partner of a company dedicated to consultancy services in real estate brokerage, as well as in financial consultancy and related services. He is also an independent consultant for the development of costing systems, project financial analysis, budgeting and management control.
He has more than 24 years of experience in the financial asset management industry, where he held roles as a fund manager and discretionary portfolio manager, coordinated equity and fixed-income research and investment teams, and served as Chief Investment Officer for securities funds and structured products.
In this industry, he was also responsible for strategic planning, budgeting and management control departments.
He was involved in the development of international business units. He was CEO of an investment fund management company in Brazil, as well as a non-executive director of several fund management companies in Spain.
He was a strategic advisor and non-executive director of a venture capital company.
