My participation in PADIS was, without a doubt, a personal and professional asset. This training allowed me to contribute even more effectively to the mission I perform, promoting strategic management aligned with the challenges of the NHS and the needs of the population.
My registration in PADIS | AESE Business School’s Senior Management Program for Health Institutions had as its main objective to expand my knowledge in the area of management and explore new perspectives for the challenges of the health sector.
As a physician and member of the Executive Board, I face, on a daily basis, complex challenges that require thoughtful decisions guided by best practices.
One of the reasons that motivated me to participate was the multidisciplinary nature of PADIS. Program that brings together professors from different scientific areas, such as medicine, engineering, economics and management. This diversity brought an “out of the box” perspective essential to approach health in an integrated way, breaking down barriers between disciplines and promoting solutions adapted to the reality of health care in Portugal.
The methodology based on the Case Method was another aspect that captivated me. The study of practical cases, inspired by real situations, promoted the development of critical thinking and decision-making based on common sense, integrity and knowledge. This training model enabled me to apply solutions adjusted to the specific needs of each situation, whether in the strategic or operational scope.
