Embora os gestores estejam conscientes que as decisões de fixação de preços contribuem para atingir ou destruir os resultados de uma empresa, estes tendem a enfrentar os mercados sem a ajuda de uma estratégia cuidadosamente elaborada. Consequentemente, as políticas de preços são pouco mais do que uma colecção de tácticas de curo-prazo mantidas por pressupostos questionáveis e heurísticas grosseiras que, em muitas circunstâncias, põem em risco a saúde financeira da empresa. A gestão estratégica de preços consiste numa prática orientado para a acção sobre os diferentes papéis que a fixação de preços desempenha na captação, comunicação e mesmo no reforço da vantagem competitiva da empresa.

O objectivo deste programa é dotar os participantes da confiança e das competências necessárias para conceber e executar estratégias de preços ganhadoras. Para conseguir ganhar este desafio vamos explorar conhecimentos de diversas áreas — como economia, psicologia, sociologia e outras disciplinas — e entraremos na realidade de várias funções organizacionais para introduzir novas abordagens e quadros úteis para resolver os mais prementes problemas de preços contemporâneos. Fez programas de formação para executivos na Universidade de Michigan, no Indian Institute of Management e no IESE. A sua investigação científica encontra-se publicada em diversas revistas, entre as quais: Journal of Creating Value; Journal of Strategic Contracting and Negotiation; Management Decision; European Business Review; Harvard Deusto Business Review; Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing; e International Journal of Marketing and Sales Education. É autor de mais de 20 casos de estudo e notas técnicas que já foram estudados em 31 instituições de ensino, espalhadas por 16 países. Dois dos casos de sua autoria foram premiados em concursos internacionais. Rafael Franco, Associate Dean da AESE e Professor de Contabilidade e Controlo de Gestão. É licenciado em Economia pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Executive MBA pela AESE e doutor em Gestão (DBA) pela Universidade de Manchester. Fez o Advanced Competitive Analysis Program na Universidade de Michigan (EUA) e o Advanced Digital Media Strategies and Entrepreneurship Program no IESE de Nova Iorque. Tem 10 casos publicados na área de contabilidade financeira, 4 em contabilidade de custos e 2 casos de gestão financeira pessoal. É Professor na AESE desde 2003, nas áreas de Contabilidade Financeira, Contabilidade de Custos e Sistemas de Controlo de Gestão. Leciona em diversos programas para executivos, seminários e programas específicos para empresas em Lisboa e Luanda. É Diretor do Executive MBA e coordenador da área académica de Contabilidade e Controlo de Gestão na AESE. É consultor independente em sistemas de custos, análise de projetos, orçamentação e controlo de gestão. Mário Porfírio, é Licenciado em Gestão de Marketing pelo IPAM, Executive MBA AESE, com uma Pós-Gradução em Gestão de Projectos. Empreendedor e gestor de empresas, fundou em 1998 a empresa Inédito, Consultores de Comunicação e em 2008 a BAR - Produção Publicitária, Lda, nas quais desempenha até hoje funções de gestão.
